Fernando Guzman Fighting Bull Farm

HIERRO & DIVISA

History

Fernando Guzman and Jesus Guzman began the reconstruction of the fighting bull farm in 1951, being one of the founders of the Asociacion de Ganaderias de Lidia. In 1979, Fernando Guzman Guzman took over management and revitalized the genetic line with the “Gitano” stallion, used until 2000. Later, a group of Murube cows and the “Volador” stallion were incorporated. In 1994, the “Jaqueton” stallion was introduced and in 2005 the Murube line was eliminated, leaving only the Santa Coloma via Buendia line. In 2010, 2 stallions and 30 cows were added from Adolfo Rodriguez Montesinos livestock. Later, another batch of cows and a stallion were added, and in 2021 a stallion was acquired from another farm. Currently, the Guzman fighting bull farm is distinguished by its purity of Santa Coloma via Buendia origin.
